Ra mắt Hội Đồng Quản Trị mới

Nam Mô Bổn Sư Thích Ca Mâu Ni Phật

Vào 5:20 chiều ngày 12 tháng 7 năm 2025, tại Chùa Cổ Lâm, thành phố Seattle, tiểu bang Washington, một buổi Họp Báo trang nghiêm và ý nghĩa đã được tổ chức với sự tham dự của chư Tôn Đức Tăng Ni cùng các anh chị em huynh trưởng và đồng hương Phật tử gần xa.

Buổi Họp Báo được tổ chức nhằm:

- Công bố quyết định chính thức của Hội Đồng Tăng Già đã chuẩn thuận, thành lập Hội Đồng Quản Trị mới, đúng theo Nội Quy hiện hành của Chùa Cổ Lâm.

- Công bố giấy tờ được xác nhận bởi Văn Phòng Hành Chánh Tiểu Bang Washington, có hiệu lực từ ngày 16 tháng 4 năm 2025. Đồng thời, xác định tư cách pháp nhân của các thành viên trong Hội Đồng Quản trị mới của Cộng Đồng Phật Giáo Việt Nam Chùa Cổ Lâm.

- Trình bày và làm rõ các thông tin không chính xác, mang tính suy diễn, gây hiểu lầm, trong 6 trang “Thông Báo” do anh Trần Thuận Hiếu đã lạm quyền công bố tại Chánh Điện Chùa Cổ Lâm vào trưa ngày 1 tháng 6 năm 2025, đã tạo sự chia rẽ, sự thiếu tôn trọng trầm trọng trong nội bộ Tăng đoàn và Phật tử!

- Thảo luận về sự cần thiết phải thực hiện đúng theo các quy định pháp lý, do chính phủ Hoa Kỳ ban hành đối với tổ chức phi lợi nhuận của Chùa. Đồng thời, công bố những quy định đã được thông qua sự cố vấn của Hội Đồng Tăng Già, nhằm hướng dẫn Phật tử Cộng Đồng Phật Giáo Việt Nam Chùa Cổ Lâm sinh hoạt, phát triển đúng hướng, trong tinh thần thanh tịnh, tôn trọng lẫn nhau và hoàn toàn bất vụ lợi.

- Buổi Họp Báo được tổ chức trong tinh thần tương kính, được sự chứng minh của Hòa Thượng Viện Chủ Chùa Cổ Lâm - HT Thích Nguyên An, cùng sự hiện diện của chư Tăng Ni chúng Chùa Cổ Lâm: Thượng Tọa Thích Phước Tấn, Ni Sư Thích Nữ Diệu Hoa, Sư Cô Thích Nữ Quảng Phục, và Sư Cô Thích Nữ Hạnh Định.

Chúng tôi cũng rất cảm động ghi nhận sự có mặt của Anh Huynh trưởng cấp Tấn: Anh huynh trưởng Nguyên Hồng - Lê Tấn Phúc, Anh huynh trưởng Quảng Tài - Hàng Xang Xiêu và một số anh chị em huynh trưởng thuộc GĐPT Liễu Quán cùng các Phật tử.

Đây là một sự kiện có ý nghĩa, đánh dấu một bước ngoặc quan trọng, để chỉnh đốn và bảo vệ Chánh pháp dựa trên Giới Luật và truyền thống sinh hoạt của Chùa viện Việt Nam. Buổi Họp Báo cũng đã ghi nhận và cảm ơn những lời phát biểu tha thiết, ý kiến đóng góp chân thành và định hướng rõ ràng, nhằm giúp phát triển tốt đẹp cho tương lai sinh hoạt và Tu học của Phật tử trong CĐPGVN Chùa Cổ Lâm.

PRESS CONFERENCE - CO LAM TEMPLE

Introducing the new Board of Governors

At 5:20 pm on July 12, 2025, at Co Lam Temple, Seattle, Washington, a solemn and meaningful Press Conference was held with the participation of Venerable Monks and Nuns, along with senior brothers and sisters and fellow Buddhists from near and far.

The Press Conference was held to:

- Announce the official decision of the Board of Sangha to approve and establish a new Board of Governors, in accordance with the current Bylaws of Co Lam Temple.

- Announce the documents certified by the Washington State Secretary of State Office, effective from April 16, 2025. At the same time, determine the legal status of the members of the new Board of Governors of the Vietnamese Buddhist Community of Co Lam Temple.

- Present and clarify the inaccurate, speculative, and misleading information in the 6-page "Notice" that Mr. Tran Thuan Hieu, to showcase that he abused his authority to announce at the Main Hall of Co Lam Temple at noon on June 1, 2025, thus creating division and serious disrespect within the Sangha and Buddhists!

- Discuss the need to comply with the legal regulations issued by the US government for the Temple's non-profit organization. At the same time, announce the regulations that have been approved with the advice of the Board of Sangha, to guide the Buddhists of the Vietnamese Buddhist Community of Co Lam Temple to operate and develop in the right direction, in a spirit of purity, mutual respect and completely non-profit.

- The Press Conference was held in a spirit of mutual respect, witnessed by the Most Venerable Abbot of Co Lam Temple - Most Venerable Thich Nguyen An, and the presence of the monks and nuns of Co Lam Temple: Venerable Thich Phuoc Tan, Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Hoa, Venerable Thich Nu Quang Phuc, and Venerable Thich Nu Hanh Dinh.

We were also very moved to note the presence of the Van Hanh Level III Leader: Leader Nguyen Hong - Le Tan Phuc, Leader Quang Tai - Hang Xang Xieu and a number of leaders of the Lieu Quan Buddhist Youth Association and Buddhists.

This is a meaningful event, marking an important turning point, to rectify and protect the Dharma based on the Precepts and the traditions of the activities of Vietnamese monasteries. The Press Conference also acknowledged and thanked the heartfelt statements, sincere contributions and clear directions, to help develop the future of Buddhist activities and studies of the Vietnamese Buddhist Congregation of Co Lam Temple.
